The “Certified” Approach

Our systematic approach to any commercial design or construction project has been developed over the last 2 decades and has a proven track record of delivering projects on time, on budget and exceeding our clients expectations every time we build for them.

Step 1 – Initial Design Kick Off Meeting

Step 1AT THIS MEETING WE WILL DISCUSS THE FOLLOWING ITEMS:

  • Client’s specific needs in their new building and space
  • What are the most important aspects of your building
  • What has and has not worked on your previous projects
  • What challenges does your business face and how can this building help
  • Discuss long term plans for growth and expansion and what can be incorporated into your project to facilitate growth and keep the building as maintenance free as possible. 

Step 2 – Design Phase

Step 2DEVELOP A BASE LINE BUDGET AND DESIGN FOR PROJECT:

  • Hold design meetings with client and design team
  • Incorporate items discussed in initial design meeting
  • Provide cost estimates on alternative building materials and value engineering
  • Client reviews, provides feedback, and approves the final design plans and updated budget
  • Certified will conduct a preliminary design review with building department to expedite the permitting process

Step 3 – Permitting and Final GMP Pricing

  • Distribute plans out to bid for subcontractor and vendor pricing
  • Review final GMP amount with the client
  • Develop project schedule and review with client
  • Review shop drawings, submittals, and finish samples

Step 4 – Construction Phase

  • Ground Breaking
  • Weekly construction progress meetings
  • Weekly progress reports sent out with work complete, pictures, and updated schedule
  • Track long lead items

Step 5 – Project Closeout

Step 5

  • Walk project for owner and owner representative punch list
  • Provide owner training sessions on building systems and equipment
  • Provide warranty book with owner manuals, product data, and warranties from all subcontractors
  • Provide point of contact for years of follow up and support
